Members

The Aircraft Conversion and Upgrade Alliance currently consist of Twenty one members from Europe, North America, South Africa and New Zealand. The Alliance was created in May 2002 to support new and current installations of M601 Turboprop Engines.

The ACUA Members and WALTER Certified Installation Centers form the basis for the customers support network. They are the service points to provide field maintenance support of the M601 Engines in accordance with the Maintenance Certificate held by the individual companies.

The ACUA members are shown in the list below. Members approved as Walter Service Centers are noted with the wrench mark identifying maintenance. The Certified Maintenance Centers provide maintenance service and product support to the owners and operators of the M601engines. These Maintenance Centers have certified personnel, spare parts, tools and fixtures to support their level of maintenance approvals. When the level of repair exceeds their approved level they coordinate and cooperate with WALTER America (West Helena, Arkansas, USA), or with WALTER Engine Repair facility in Prague to expedite the repairs either onsite with factory mechanics or to return the engine to the factory for repair.

Avia Propeller is a traditional manufacturer of double acting propellers for the M601 engines. Most of the M601 powered aircraft are equipped with Avia propeller.

The M601 was initially developed for the Let L0-410 twin engine aircraft. Walter powered Fletcher aircraft represent more than half of the turboprop engine powered Ag aircraft in New Zealand. The M601D-11NZ has been optimized for the extreme number of cycles required by the New Zealand customers. Turbine Conversions also services a fleet of Zlin Z-137T agricultural aircraft in New Zealand, powered by the M601Z engines.
