A special engine version used mostly in paradropper airplanes. The engine is downrated for use in the Do 28 and some conversions of Finist.

Special Ag and parachuting operation configuration with a TBO up to 1800 hours, equivalent 3600 cycles.
M601D-11NZ
downrated model with TBO 1800 hours, up to 5300 equivalent cycles, 23 000 take-off. Customized engine used in FU-24 Fletcher.
